Urza, High Lord by Sirsmoke0_0

Format: Commander

Commander: Urza, Lord High Artificer

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Urza, Lord High Artificer pilots a mono-blue artifact engine that converts a board of cheap artifacts into runaway mana, then into one of several overlapping two-card wins. Early turns deploy free and low-cost artifacts - Memnite, Ornithopter, Mishra's Bauble, Sol Ring, Foundry Inspector - which all become mana dorks once Urza's tap-an-artifact-for-{U} ability comes online. From there the deck has three kill paths: Basalt Monolith + Forsaken Monument produce infinite colorless that Urza cycles through his {5} ability into a board of Simulacrum Synthesizer Constructs and Tinker-cheated Colossi; Mycosynth Lattice + Karn, the Great Creator form a hard lock that leaves opponents unable to activate anything; and a big-beatdown backstop (Darksteel Colossus, Metalwork Colossus, Shimmer Dragon) is multiplied by Echoes of Eternity, Jin-Gitaxias, Progress Tyrant, and Mirrorworks. Chimil, the Inner Sun and Mystic Forge supply top-deck card flow, making the deck a battlecruiser artifact goodstuff pile with an efficient combo spine.
