Commander: Thorin Oakenshield

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Boros Dwarf-tribal Equipment deck built around commander Thorin Oakenshield. Thorin is a cheap, trampling legendary who - once you control three or more artifacts, legendaries, or Sagas, an "enduring story" this deck meets almost immediately - grants ward {1} to every artifact and creature you control. The plan is classic Boros voltron with a Treasure sub-engine: Magda, Brazen Outlaw turns every tapped Dwarf into a Treasure and then tutors any artifact, functioning as a hidden commander. Kili the Resourceful, Giott, King of the Dwarves, and The Arkenstone provide card flow, while an oversized Equipment suite - Mjolnir, Hammer of Thor, Colossus Hammer, Blackblade Reforged, Buster Sword, Aettir and Priwen - turns a single double-striking Dwarf into a one-shot lethal threat. Dain of the Ancient Halls supplies a hasty drain that hits all opponents at once, and Torbran, Thane of Red Fell amplifies the various burn lines. There are no infinite combos; victory comes through repeated lethal combat.
