Deck overview

This Jund deck is an engine-driven control and aristocrats strategy commanded by Auntie Ool, Cursewretch. It revolves around placing -1/-1 counters on creatures to generate overwhelming card advantage, suppress opposing boards, and drain opponents' life totals. Fast mana acceleration curves directly into Auntie Ool on turn 3 or 4. Once assembled, synergistic powerhouses like Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, and Nest of Scarabs convert counter placement into swarms of deathtouch Snakes and Insects while drawing cards from friendly blight costs. Stax and attrition pieces such as Kulrath Knight and Maha, Its Feathers Night lock opposing creatures out of combat and make any counter lethal. The deck wins by grinding the table down with relentless drain from Obelisk Spider and The Meathook Massacre, machine-gun burn from All Will Be One, or an overwhelming combat overrun powered by Finale of Devastation.
