Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius artifact-control strategy built around Shorikai, Genesis Engine. Shorikai serves as a resilient command-zone draw engine and token generator that dodges common creature sweepers. The deck establishes early mana velocity using 2-CMC mana rocks, deploys Shorikai by Turn 3 or 4, and uses the continuous flow of Pilot tokens to crew Vehicles, fuel draw engines like Skullclamp, and trigger artifact synergies like Sai, Master Thopterist. It controls the board with efficient spot removal, versatile countermagic, and asymmetric sweepers like Farewell and Winds of Rath. Victory is achieved by converting accumulated artifacts and tokens into an evasive alpha strike via Cyberdrive Awakener, mass reanimation with Dance of the Manse, or recasting Approach of the Second Sun.
