Deck overview

This deck is a classic Dimir Faerie tribal tempo and control build commanded by Tegwyll, Duke of Splendor. The primary strategy focuses on deploying low-cost, evasive Faerie creatures during early turns and then establishing Tegwyll, Duke of Splendor or Alela, Cunning Conqueror on Turn 4 to gain combat buffs and token generation. The deck plays predominantly at instant speed, passing with mana open to cast flash threats, draw spells, or countermagic on opponents' turns. As the Faerie swarm expands, combat damage triggers like Reconnaissance Mission and Talion's Messenger fuel card advantage, while Alela, Cunning Conqueror goads opposing threats to keep pressure away from your life total. The deck closes games around Turn 7 to 9 by landing high-impact finishers such as Shadow Puppeteers or resolving one-sided board wipes like Kindred Dominance and Tegwyll's Scouring, swinging for lethal aerial damage across consecutive turns.
