Deck overview

This Boros deck is an aggressive Voltron build commander-headed by Lightning, Army of One. Lightning brings keywords—first strike, trample, and lifelink—alongside the Stagger mechanic, which doubles all damage dealt to a player and their permanents until your next turn after she hits them in combat. The deck leverages heavy Equipment synergies, equip cost reducers like Puresteel Paladin and Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist, and damage multipliers like Duelist's Heritage, Jeska, Thrice Reborn, and Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar. Double strike turns Lightning into a lethal clock: the first strike hit triggers Stagger, causing the regular combat damage step to deal double damage. Combined with unblockable tools like Brotherhood Regalia and Prowler's Helm, the deck rapidly eliminates opponents one by one while keeping life totals high via lifelink.
