Deck overview

This Dimir spellslinger control deck leverages Lord of the Nazgûl to transform cheap cantrips, interaction, and clone spells into an overwhelming army of evasive 3/3 menace Wraith tokens. The deck accelerates early using mana rocks and efficient rituals like Dark Ritual, deploying its commander on Turn 4. Once on the battlefield, every instant and sorcery cast builds an evasive board state while triggering card advantage engines such as Archmage Emeritus and Rhystic Study. The deck protects its engine using a dense suite of premier countermagic, including Force of Will, Mana Drain, and Flusterstorm, allowing it to disrupt opponents while advancing its own win condition. Once nine Wraiths are assembled or a clone spell like Irenicus's Vile Duplication doubles trigger output, the Wraith army swells into lethal 9/9 attackers. The deck closes out games through coordinated combat steps or sudden alpha strikes facilitated by Nanogene Conversion.
