Deck overview

This Jeskai deck is a God-and-counters engine that attacks to build experience counters, then turns them into large creatures and repeated value. Kratos, Stoic Father supplies experience and end-step +1/+1 counters; Atreus, Impulsive Son converts that experience into cards and two damage to each opponent. Maskwood Nexus broadens the God count and supports token attacks. The normal finish is a protected, growing combat board, with The Locust God and Otharri, Suns' Glory as alternate token engines. Sage of Hours enables a Kratos extra-turn lock, while Blasphemous Act, Repercussion, and Toralf provide a separate board-dependent kill. Kratos, God of War is the hidden commander: its global haste and attack-punishment effect rewards committing creatures to combat.
