Deck overview

This Golgari list is a creature-count ramp engine. The primary plan is to flood the board with cheap dorks and tokens, cast Witherbloom, the Balancer for a heavily discounted cost, then end via Craterhoof Behemoth, Finale of Devastation, or a large Torment of Hailfire. A secondary deterministic line is Sprout Swarm plus Witherbloom Apprentice, which becomes infinite once Witherbloom is online and at least four creatures exist. There is no hidden commander: Witherbloom is the only commander, and the list is built to enable its affinity rather than to transform into another card. The commander acts as a cost reducer, flying beater, and the key enabler for the Sprout Swarm loop; the deck can still fall back on token beatdown and mana-sink X spells if it is never cast.
