Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet spellslinger build commanded by Shantotto, Tactician Magician. The core game plan revolves around casting high-mana-value noncreature spells - preferably costing four or more mana - to pump Shantotto's power and draw a card each time. The deck leverages a dense package of instants, sorceries, and magecraft/prowess enablers to chain spells, generate treasures with Storm-Kiln Artist and Prompto Argentum, and eventually close out through combat damage from a huge Shantotto or direct burn from Vivi Ornitier and The Emperor of Palamecia/The Lord Master of Hell. Lacks traditional infinite combos and tutors, making it a linear but explosive value engine that must protect its commander to maintain card advantage.
