Commander: Smaug the Magnificent

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This mono-red list is a Treasure/artifact ramp deck whose primary plan is to turn accumulated gold into explosive Dragon damage. Smaug the Magnificent acts as both a reliable Treasure generator and a repeatable burn spell: each upkeep adds an artifact and each attack shoots a target for your Treasure count. Secondary paths include artifact-ETB pingers (Reckless Fireweaver, Ingenious Artillerist), extra combat via Scourge of the Throne/Relentless Assault, Inferno of the Star Mounts activation, and Hellkite Tyrant's twenty-artifact win. Goldspan Dragon doubles Treasure mana, while City on Fire triples all damage. There is no hidden commander; the deck is built to cast Smaug early and use his hoard to finish.
