Deck overview

This deck is a dedicated Mono-Green Treefolk tribal and big-mana engine helmed by Fangorn, Tree Shepherd. The strategy accelerates mana in the first three turns through dense elf mana dorks and land-search sorceries. It deploys Fangorn on Turn 4 or 5, turning combat into an explosive mana reservoir by granting Treefolk vigilance and generating unspent green mana that persists across phases and turns. This excess mana fuels massive Treefolk creatures whose power and toughness scale with Forest counts, such as Dauntless Dourbark, Dungrove Elder, and Kalonian Twingrove. The deck closes games around Turn 6 or 7 using team-wide overrun effects like Overwhelming Stampede and Dragon Throne of Tarkir, or infinite untap loops using Umbral Mantle and Staff of Domination. While the deck possesses massive mana velocity and resilient toughness, its complete lack of reactive interaction and vulnerability to sweepers represent its primary strategic liabilities.
