Hermit by Albedo

Format: Commander

Commander: Homer, the Hermit

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Sultai landfall mill deck helmed by Homer, the Hermit, whose triggered ability turns every land you play into a potentially massive mill event proportional to your count of Crabs, Lobsters, Nautiluses, Starfish, and Trilobites. The deck leans heavily on changelings (every creature type) and typal enablers like Maskwood Nexus and Leyline of Transformation to turn any creature into one of Homer's favored types, multiplying the mill output. The primary win condition is milling all opponents out, either through repeated landfall triggers from Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait, Tatyova, Benthic Druid, and the Crab trio (Hedron Crab, Ruin Crab, Shorecomber Crab), or through explosive spells like Maddening Cacophony with Bruvac the Grandiloquent to instantly deck each opponent. Secondary lines include Altar of the Brood for incremental mill and Fraying Sanity to accelerate. The deck packs dense ramp to chain multiple land drops per turn and uses recursion via Mole Man, Moloid Master and Walk-In Closet // Forgotten Cellar to keep lands flowing from the graveyard.
