Dwight Schrute (Mono) Counter by azing558

Format: Commander

Commander: Baral, Chief of Compliance

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a mono-blue instant/sorcery control deck built around Baral, Chief of Compliance. The commander makes the deck cheaper and turns counterspells into card selection, allowing the pilot to protect a small set of mill-based win conditions. The primary kill combines Bruvac the Grandiloquent with a kicked Maddening Cacophony, or Cut Your Losses, to empty libraries. Secondary plans use The Mindskinner, Sun Quan, Lord of Wu, and The Water Crystal to turn unblockable mill attacks into a clock, while token hordes from Talrand and Metallurgic Summonings can close games under horsemanship. The deck wants to trade counters for time and draw into its combo pieces.
