Deck overview

This deck is a classic Temur value and battlecruiser spellslinger deck built around Riku of Two Reflections. The primary game plan revolves around accelerating mana in the early turns using dense green land ramp and mana rocks, establishing Riku on Turn 4 or 5, and then leveraging his dual-copy abilities to duplicate both impactful instants/sorceries and powerful creature threats. Card advantage engines like Archmage Emeritus, Risen Reef, and Temur Ascendancy maintain a full hand while setting up game-ending plays such as a copied Avenger of Zendikar, a kicked Rite of Replication, or a massive Doppelgang. While the deck possesses explosive late-game scaling and high redundancy among value engines, its reliance on sorcery-speed deployment and combat damage makes it susceptible to well-timed board wipes and targeted interaction during its setup turns.
