Smaug The Magnificent by Whatley03

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Magnificent

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Smaug the Magnificent leads a mono-red Dragon/treasure deck that wins by converting a critical mass of Treasures into repeated combat steps. The primary plan is to deploy Smaug early, accelerate with Goldspan Dragon and Treasure producers, then chain extra combats with Hellkite Charger, Aggravated Assault, or Scourge of the Throne while Smaug's attack trigger snipes opponents for the current Treasure count. Secondary paths include a giant Crackle with Power, Hellkite Tyrant's artifact-count win, and Knuckles the Echidna's upkeep trigger. Smaug is both the mana engine and the burn outlet; there is no hidden commander. The deck is built around Smaug's face and his Treasure-scaled trigger.
