Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Mardu combat deck helmed by Isshin, Two Heavens as One. It translates aggressive attack triggers into exponential board presence and card advantage. By duplicating attacking abilities, cards like Hero of Bladehold, Adeline, Resplendent Cathar, and Sword of the Animist generate twice their normal output, rapidly expanding armies and ramping lands. The deck integrates a robust Equipment package backed by dedicated tutors such as Stoneforge Mystic and Steelshaper's Gift, alongside free equip enablers like Puresteel Paladin and Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist. While the list eschews fast mana rocks and two-card infinite combos, it establishes an operational board by turn 4 and initiates critical pressure by turn 5. Defensively, the list features format-ceiling protection including Deflecting Swat, Flawless Maneuver, and Teferi's Protection, shielding its board from wipes until closing the game on turn 6 with extra combats or an overloaded Akroma's Will.
