Deck overview

This deck is an Abzan toughness-matters aggro engine piloted by Doran, Besieged by Time. Rather than traditional small-creature beatdown, it fills the battlefield with inexpensive, high-toughness creatures like Wall of Omens, Catapult Fodder, and Sylvan Caryatid. Doran provides two core advantages: a static cost reduction of {1} on creature spells with toughness greater than power, and an attack trigger that boosts each creature's power and toughness by the difference between those stats. This transforms cheap defensive walls into massive offensive threats, allowing a 0/5 Doran to swing as a 5/10 and turning high-toughness utility creatures into lethal attackers. The deck breaks parity through asymmetric board wipes like Slaughter the Strong and Destined Confrontation, which destroy high-power opposing creatures while leaving your army untouched. Redundant enablers like Assault Formation, Bedrock Tortoise, and Felothar the Steadfast ensure consistent combat pressure, while The One Ring and Fecund Greenshell provide sustained card draw to close games by Turn 7.
