Deck overview

This Abzan deck leverages Betor, Ancestor's Voice at the helm to bridge lifegain, self-inflicted life loss, and reanimation. It functions primarily as an aristocrats combo deck, generating incremental value from creatures entering and dying while setting up deterministic infinite drain loops. Early turns focus on mana acceleration and setting up incremental draw or recursion engines via cards like Sylvan Library and Black Market Connections. The midgame leverages Betor's dual triggers to distribute +1/+1 counters and reanimate utility creatures. The primary finish relies on instant-kill pairings, notably Exquisite Blood with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose (or Bloodthirsty Conqueror with Enduring Tenacity), or an aristocrats loop using Warren Soultrader, Gravecrawler, and a drain piece like Blood Artist. Flexible removal and reanimation resilience keep the deck viable through attrition.
