Vrondiss Dragon by MagicallyBad

Format: Commander

Commander: Vrondiss, Rage of Ancients

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Gruul deck, helmed by Vrondiss, Rage of Ancients, is a dice-rolling enrage engine that converts every die roll into a self-ping, spawning 5/4 Dragon Spirit tokens. The deck layers token doublers (Parallel Lives, Doubling Season), dragon tribal payoffs (Atarka, World Render, Thrakkus the Butcher, Crucible of Fire), and ETB/sacrifice ping outlets (Scourge of Valkas, Terror of the Peaks, Goblin Bombardment, Pandemonium) to turn those tokens into overwhelming combat damage or direct burn. Primary wins are a massive double-strike/power-boosted dragon swing, or a ping chain where each token entering deals damage via Scourge, Terror, or Warstorm Surge. It is a midrange value deck that grinds out tokens and dragons before closing with a single explosive combat step.
