Deck overview

This Gruul midrange deck is commanded by Kibo, Uktabi Prince, focusing on Ape and Monkey tribal beatdown fueled by forced artifact symmetry. The core engine feeds artifact tokens—such as Bananas, Food, and Treasures—to all players using Kibo, Descent into Avernus, Elephant-Mandrill, and Generous Plunderer. As opponents crack these tokens for mana and life, or when you destroy them with cards like Vandalblast, Gorilla Shaman, and Kogla, the Titan Ape, Kibo steadily grows your primates with +1/+1 counters. Secondary payoffs like Pain Distributor, Magnetic Mine, and Sardian Avenger punish opponents directly for using artifacts. The deck translates this growing board into a lethal clock through evasion pieces like Garruk's Uprising, Brawn, and Gruul War Chant, while Root Maze and Manglehorn slow opposing responses. The strategy delivers consistent, high-synergy combat pressure in mid-power tables.
