Commander: The Scarab God

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir Zombie tribal build helmed by The Scarab God, a resilient value engine that provides a mana sink for reanimating opponents' creatures as 4/4 Zombies and a consistent life-drain/scry trigger each turn. The primary game plan is to amass a wide board of Zombies through token generators (Endless Ranks of the Dead, Open the Graves, Diregraf Colossus), anthem effects (Death Baron, Diregraf Captain, Lord of the Accursed), and recursion loops (Gravecrawler, Relentless Dead, Zombie Apocalypse). Combat damage, backed by drains from Diregraf Captain, Loyal Subordinate, and Lich Lord of Unx's activated ability, serves as the main win condition. The deck leans heavily on its graveyard as a resource, using Rooftop Storm to cheat mana costs and Necroduality to double each nontoken Zombie that enters.
