Deck overview

This deck is a Mono-Red spellslinger burn strategy commanded by Gandalf, Goblins' Bane. The main game plan focuses on casting low-cost noncreature spells to trigger Gandalf's ability, dealing direct damage to all opponents while growing Gandalf's combat stats. Redundant damage engines like Thunderdrum Soloist, Stormsplitter, and Aria of Flame amplify table-wide burn as spells are chained together. The deck utilizes rummage spells like Grab the Prize and Thrill of Possibility alongside Gandalf's adventure half, Flameshape, to maintain card flow and cycle through the 99. Interaction includes versatile burn removal, artifact destruction, and redirection spells like Bolt Bend to protect key pieces. Without relying on fast mana or infinite combos, the deck steadily accumulates damage, reaching critical pressure around Turn 6 and eliminating opponents through sustained burn and token swings by Turn 8.
