Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos aristocrats combo list commanded by Gev, Scaled Scorch. The primary game plan revolves around exploiting the persist mechanic. When an opponent has lost life in a turn, Gev causes any entering creature to gain a +1/+1 counter. When a persist creature dies, it returns with a -1/-1 counter, which cancels out with Gev's +1/+1 counter through state-based actions. Combined with a free sacrifice outlet and a damage payoff like Impact Tremors, Bastion of Remembrance, or Goblin Bombardment, the deck generates an infinite loop that eliminates all opponents on the spot. The deck features strong functional redundancy across its combo components, backed by removal spells and rummaging effects to smooth out draws. While vulnerable to graveyard hate and lacking stack protection, its compact win condition can close games immediately on Turn 5.
