Deck overview

This deck centers around Ozai, the Phoenix King, combining big mana acceleration with heavy commander combat pressure. Through Ozai's passive mana-preservation ability and firebending 4 trigger, unspent combat mana is converted into persistent red mana that carries over across turns. Once Ozai hoards six or more unspent mana, he gains flying and indestructible, making him a resilient aerial threat. The supporting shell consists of mana rocks, basic land-fetching artifacts, firebreathing creatures, and Rakdos removal spells. Without fast combo finishes or high-density tutor suites, the deck operates via fair, traditional combat damage, utilizing pump equipment such as Fireshrieker and mana sinks like Lavafume Invoker to close out games.
