ghave cedh by PCThirtyFive

Format: Commander

Commander: Ghave, Guru of Spores

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Ghave is a counters-and-tokens engine. The primary plan is to assemble Ghave with a token doubler (Chatterfang) and a sacrifice outlet (Ashnod's Altar) plus a drain payoff (Elas il-Kor or The Meathook Massacre), then loop Saprolings and Squirrels for infinite deaths. Secondary paths use Basking Broodscale + Blade of the Bloodchief + Ashnod's Altar for a commander-independent infinite loop, and Birthing Pod/Protean Hulk tutor chains. The commander is the main enabler, with Chatterfang acting as a hidden secondary engine in the 99. No double-faced commander is present. Most games close through tutors assembling one altar loop, then draining the table or finding Finale of Devastation.
