Deck overview

This mono-blue control deck leverages Jalira, Master Polymorphist to cheat high-cost, nonlegendary game-ending creatures directly from the library onto the battlefield. The deck is engineered without low-impact utility creatures, instead relying on token-generating noncreature spells, artifacts, and manlands like Retrofitter Foundry, Hard Evidence, Blinkmoth Nexus, and Mutavault to provide expendable polymorph fodder. Once Jalira untaps on Turn 5, she converts a single disposable token into format-warping threats such as Hullbreaker Horror, Ulamog's Dreadsire, Pathrazer of Ulamog, or Scourge of Fleets. Redundant cheat enablers like Polymorph, Proteus Staff, and Mass Polymorph ensure consistent execution even if Jalira is targeted. While the deck lacks instant two-card combos, it dominates the midgame through crushing combat pressure, asymmetric bounce wipes like Spectral Deluge, and spell-based control tools that protect its massive board presence across subsequent combat steps.
