Format: Commander

Commander: The Ur-Dragon

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Five-color Dragon tribal that leans on The Ur-Dragon's Eminence discount to chain expensive dragons ahead of curve. The commander is both an always-on reducer and, once on board, a draw/cheat engine: each attack draws cards equal to attackers and can drop permanents for free. Secondary plans are Scion of the Ur-Dragon tutoring/copying and Fist of Suns bypassing mana costs; combat is closed by Atarka double strike and extra combats from Hellkite Charger/Savage Ventmaw. There is no true hidden commander, but Scion functions as a sub-commander utility. The deck is a mid-speed battlecruiser and its resilience comes from recursion, mass dragons, and the Eminence discount.
