Deck overview

This deck is a Jund Group Slug and Big Mana strategy commanded by Yurlok of Scorch Thrash. It revives the classic mana burn rule to turn surplus mana into direct life loss. The deck accelerates the entire table with symmetrical mana doublers like Mana Flare, Heartbeat of Spring, and Dictate of Karametra, then punishes opponents for that excess using Citadel of Pain, War's Toll, and Yurlok's activated ability. To survive its own symmetrical effects, the deck utilizes mana retention tools such as Horizon Stone, Omnath, Locus of Mana, and Leyline Tyrant. Once life totals have been softened by continuous slug damage, the deck leverages its massive mana surplus to close the game with devastating finishers like Crackle with Power, Exsanguinate, and Apex Devastator. The strategy effectively traps opponents between tapping out to take damage or floating unspent mana and burning to death.
