Deck overview

This deck is an optimized mono-black burn and attrition strategy commanded by Sheoldred, the Apocalypse. It weaponizes universal card draw by forcing all players to draw additional cards while punishing opponents with asymmetric life loss and buffering the pilot's life total. Accelerated by fast mana such as Dark Ritual, Sol Ring, and Jet Medallion, the deck aims to deploy Sheoldred on Turn 3 or 4. Once Sheoldred is active, symmetric draw engines like Howling Mine, Font of Mythos, and explosive wheels like Dark Deal rapidly deplete opposing life totals. In addition to forced-draw attrition, the deck features redundant life-drain combo packages such as Exquisite Blood paired with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose or Sanguine Bond, providing instant-win redundancy. While the list applies oppressive life and mana denial through Infernal Darkness and Tainted Remedy, it features minimal reactive stack protection, making careful sequencing around opposing removal critical.
