Deck overview

This deck is a five-color artifact midrange build helmed by Karn, Gilded Guardian with Umori, the Collector as its companion. Built under a strict creative constraint where every nonland card is an artifact, the deck deploys colored artifact creatures, equipment, and Borderposts during the early turns to assemble all five colors. On Turn 5, Karn enters the battlefield, capitalizing on the high density of colored artifacts to draw up to five cards in a single burst. The deck then transitions into a combat-focused endgame using payoffs like Alibou, Ancient Witness, Cranial Ram, Helm of the Host, and large Gearhulks to pressure life totals while leveraging sorcery-speed exile artifacts to control opposing boards. While resilient against single-target attrition due to Karn's card draw and indestructible dual lands, the deck's complete lack of instant countermagic and reliance on combat across multiple turn cycles leaves it exposed to sweepers.
