Deck overview

This mono-blue control deck pairs Gale, Waterdeep Prodigy with Candlekeep Sage to establish a resilient card advantage engine. Gale allows you to cast an instant from your graveyard whenever you cast a sorcery from hand, and vice versa, while Candlekeep Sage draws cards whenever Gale enters or leaves the battlefield. The early game focuses on deploying mana rocks, sculpting the hand with cantrips like Opt, and stocking the graveyard with selection spells such as Contingency Plan. In the mid game, the deck controls the tempo of the table with efficient countermagic, bounce spells like Snapback, and defensive tools like Web of Inertia. The late game transitions toward big-mana threats, aiming to resolve Myr Battlesphere and duplicate it with a kicked Rite of Replication to deal lethal combat and trigger damage to all opponents in a single decisive turn.
