Zoyowa (PEDH) by user8631389

Format: Commander

Commander: Zoyowa Lava-Tongue

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Zoyowa Lava-Tongue leads a black-red attrition deck built around the descend trigger. The primary plan is to put a permanent card into your graveyard every turn, forcing each opponent to discard or sacrifice, or take 3 damage. Secondary paths use sacrifice outlets and death-trigger creatures to drain life, plus pinger engines (Thermo-Alchemist, Mysidian Elder, Black Mage's Rod) that convert noncreature spells into damage. The deck has no hidden commander; both of Zoyowa's abilities matter, but the deck is built to maximize her end-step trigger. It wins through incremental damage, a mid-game Gray Merchant or Lotleth Giant burst, or a storm Grapeshot after attrition has lowered life totals.
