Deck overview

The deck uses extra land plays, land tutors, and landfall creatures to convert mana development into a large creature board. Early cards such as Sol Ring, Utopia Sprawl, Wild Growth, Nature's Lore, and Three Visits support a six- or seven-land turn-6 setup. Avenger of Zendikar, Scute Swarm, Greensleeves, Maro-Sorcerer, and Springheart Nantuko then turn land drops into bodies. The first serious threat is usually a turn-7 token board that will become lethal if it survives the table rotation. On turn 8, Craterhoof Behemoth, Overwhelming Stampede, or a large Finale of Devastation can end the game. The deck has useful creature and land tutors, but its protection and interaction are limited. Its high curve, reliance on permanents, and lack of stack interaction leave the engine vulnerable to sweepers and well-timed removal.
