Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Golgari Voltron build centered on Skullbriar, the Walking Grave. The primary strategy deploys Skullbriar on Turn 1 or Turn 2, then rapidly scales its power using counter doublers, ability counters, and massive power buffs. Because Skullbriar retains all counters when moving to any zone other than a player's hand or library, standard removal and board wipes fail to reset its progress. The deck utilizes keyword counters such as indestructible from Daring Fiendbonder, hexproof from Slippery Bogbonder, and trample from Titanoth Rex to create an evasive, resilient threat. Supported by free removal like Deadly Rollick and efficient protection spells like Heroic Intervention and Snakeskin Veil, Skullbriar quickly eliminates opponents one by one with lethal commander damage by Turn 6.
