How to train your undead army with a dragon by user1630043

Format: Commander

Commander: Teval, the Balanced Scale

Bracket: 5

Deck overview

Teval, the Balanced Scale pilots a Sultai graveyard-combo deck that leverages self-mill, land recursion, and token generation to assemble multiple infinite-drain lines. The primary game plan is to fill the graveyard via Teval's attack trigger, Buried Alive, and Ripples of Undeath, then use Reanimate, Victimize, or Dread Return to deploy key pieces. The deck's main win condition is the Gravecrawler + Phyrexian Altar + Blood Artist/Zulaport Cutthroat loop, but it also abuses Tainted Pact with Laboratory Maniac for a two-card win, and can go over the top with Craterhoof Behemoth after generating a wide board of Zombie Druids from Teval's ability. A dense tutor suite (Vampiric Tutor, Birthing Pod, Gifts Ungiven) ensures consistent access to these lines.
