Deck overview

This Izzet spellslinger deck, helmed by The Emperor of Palamecia // The Lord Master of Hell, rewards casting noncreature spells with high mana value (4+). The commander gradually transforms into a demon that deals damage based on your graveyard's noncreature, nonland cards. The deck's primary plan is to deploy a mix of cheap cantrips and draw spells to fill the graveyard, then cast big spells to trigger numerous payoffs-such as Guttersnipe, Firebrand Archer, and Tellah, Great Sage-generating value, tokens, and direct damage. The back side of the commander eventually attacks for a large chunk of damage, supplementing the incremental burn. Secondary wins come from Ovika, Enigma Goliath creating hasty tokens, or a massive Fireball or Gandalf's Sanction. The deck is a grindier value engine with no infinite combos, relying on repeated spellcasting to outpace opponents.
