Deck overview

This Rakdos deck pairs group slug attrition with compact infinite combos. Helmed by Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls, the deck uses cheap, recurring sources of life loss like Roiling Vortex, Zo-Zu the Punisher, Ankh of Mishra, and Orcish Bowmasters to draw up to three extra cards per table rotation. This massive flow of cards fuels rapid development and unearths an elite suite of fast mana and tutors. While opponents expend life and resources under constant passive damage, the deck protects its own life total and board state with efficient, low-cost interaction like Deflecting Swat, Deadly Rollick, and Fire Covenant. It converts this card and resource advantage into swift, decisive finishes via the Dualcaster Mage and Twinflame infinite token loop or the Bloodchief Ascension and Mindcrank combo, ending the game before opponents can stabilize.
