Deck overview

Codie, Vociferous Codex commands an all-instant and sorcery deck designed around spellslinger momentum, token generation, and the alternate win condition Approach of the Second Sun. Because Codie prevents casting permanent spells, the 99 is entirely composed of nonland spells and lands. The deck ramps early through land-search spells, deploying Codie on Turn 3 and activating its 5-color cascade engine on Turn 4. This engine fuels explosive card advantage by netting free spells with every high-cost cast. In the midgame, the deck pivots into game-ending token generators like Army of the Damned, Rise from the Tides, and Clone Legion, which are converted into lethal combat swings using Overwhelming Stampede or Mob Rule. Alternatively, deep card filtering quickly retrieves Approach of the Second Sun for a direct victory. While vulnerable to board wipes and artifact removal, the deck's rich removal suite and independent spellslinger engine ensure high adaptability.
