Deck overview

This mono-black deck leverages explosive fast mana and tutors to assemble game-ending life-drain combos. While Gwenom, Remorseless serves as a potent card-advantage and life-cheating engine in the command zone, the deck's primary route to victory operates independently through compact infinite lines: Professor Onyx paired with Chain of Smog, and Exquisite Blood paired with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Sanguine Bond, or Enduring Tenacity. Dense early acceleration from cards like Dark Ritual, Sol Ring, and Mana Vault consistently propels the deck into lethal onset by Turn 4. Once a combo resolves, it drains all three opponents to zero life in a single turn, providing zero response cycles. The deck features potent creature interaction and card flow engines like Necropotence and Bolas's Citadel, but suffers from mono-black's inherent vulnerability to countermagic and inability to remove resolved opposing artifacts and enchantments.
