Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker is the engine that turns a swarm of 1-power Shadowborn Apostles into repeatable Demon tutors. The primary plan is to cast Shirei, sacrifice six Apostles to put Demons directly onto the battlefield, and let Shirei return every sacrificed Apostle at the next end step. The hidden commander is Shadowborn Apostle; with 29 copies, the deck can chain big Demons such as Razaketh, Rune-Scarred Demon, Vilis, and Ob Nixilis, then win with Liliana's Contract. Secondary paths are aristocrat drain via Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Bastion of Remembrance, and Syr Konrad, plus Demon beatdown with Grave Pact clearing blockers. Shirei provides recursive value and makes every small creature reusable; the entire list is built around that recursion loop.
