Deck overview

This is a Bant +1/+1-counter combo/value deck built around Tidus, Yuna's Guardian. Tidus can relocate counters at the start of combat to concentrate power, and his Cheer trigger draws a card and proliferates whenever a countered creature connects, turning aggression into card flow. The primary kill is a clean two-card infinite: Heliod, Sun-Crowned plus Walking Ballista with at least one counter, since Heliod replaces every removed counter with a new one and Ballista deals arbitrary damage. The deck supports this with a dense counter-douber package-Branching Evolution, Hardened Scales, Kami of Whispered Hopes, The Ozolith, the Shattered Spire, Innkeeper's Talent-and a serious tutor/free-interaction suite that includes Enlightened Tutor, Urza's Saga, free counterspells, and Silence effects. Sage of Hours offers an extra-turn payoff, while cheap mana dorks and stax pieces smooth the path to the combo.
