The Leading Man (and Lady) by MattyPBee

Format: Commander

Commander: Balthier and Fran

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Balthier and Fran is a Gruul combat deck built around crewing Vehicles and chaining extra combats. The commander gives all Vehicles +1/+1, reach, and vigilance, and whenever a Vehicle it crews attacks in the first combat, paying {1}{R}{G} adds another combat. Secondary paths lean on other extra-combat effects, token generation, and cheating Vehicles into play. The plan is to use Balthier and Fran as the crew, attack with high-power Vehicles, and finish through repeated combats powered by doublers such as Zopandrel and Unnatural Growth. There is no hidden commander; the single face is the engine.
