Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Izzet spellslinger storm deck commanded by Vivi Ornitier. Vivi turns every noncreature spell cast into a +1/+1 counter, 1 damage to each opponent, and a once-per-turn burst of mana equal to its power. By attaching Curiosity, Ophidian Eye, or Tandem Lookout to Vivi, every noncreature spell cast deals damage to all three opponents and draws three cards. This massive card draw fuels chains of low-cost cantrips, rituals like Jeska's Will, and cost-reducers like Stormcatch Mentor. Vivi's power grows with every spell, providing substantial mana to continue the sequence until opponents are eliminated by direct burn, Grapeshot, Aetherflux Reservoir, or Brain Freeze mill. Strong free counterspells defend the combo turn, while backup plans like Niv-Mizzet, Parun, Isochron Scepter, and Underworld Breach ensure resilience if Vivi is disrupted.
