Tromo (bar-voltron)

Format: Commander

Commander: Tromokratis

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue Voltron strategy built around Tromokratis. The commander's conditional hexproof and unique unblockability - it cannot be blocked unless every creature the defending player controls blocks it - make it an ideal one-shot threat. The deck packs a dense equipment suite (double strike, haste, trample, power boosts) and a deep tap-spell core to ensure opponents always have at least one tapped creature, turning Tromokratis into an unstoppable 8/8 that can kill in a single double-strike swing. Card advantage comes from combat-triggered draw (Bident of Thassa, Curious Obsession, Mask of Memory) and selection spells (Brainstorm, Preordain). The back-up plan is to attach the same equipment to one of the few other creatures (Gadwick, the Wizened, Eddymurk Crab) and win via the same unblockable-double-strike pattern.
