Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius control and token strategy centered on Clue generation and investigation mechanics. Led by Alquist Proft, Master Sleuth, the deck accumulates artifact Clue tokens through a dense suite of Detective creatures, enchantments, and utility spells. Early turns focus on mana ramp, cantrip filtering, and establishing value engines such as Forensic Gadgeteer, Academy Manufactor, and Ethereal Investigator. The deck controls the pace of the game with efficient interaction, including Swords to Plowshares, Counterspell, Dovin's Veto, and board wipes like Supreme Verdict. As Clues accumulate, Alquist Proft refuels the hand and stabilizes life totals. The deck transitions into the late game by weaponizing its Clue stockpile, utilizing Tangletrove Kelp to transform Clues into an army of 6/6 Plant creatures, or leveraging anthem and evasion effects like Armed with Proof and Detective of the Month to defeat opponents in combat.
