New Untitled Deck by kinglig

Format: Commander

Commander: Sergeant John Benton

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a classic Selesnya "Voltron" deck helmed by Sergeant John Benton, a low-cost commander with trample and haste who draws cards for both you and the opponent he hits. The primary plan is to cast John Benton as early as possible, suit him up with pump spells (instant and sorcery combat tricks, auras, and equipment) to make him a one-shot threat, and use the flood of cards from his combat damage trigger to find more gas, protection, and land drops. The deck also packs a small stax package (Aven Mindcensor, Gaddock Teeg, Kutzil, Malamet Exemplar, Storm, Windrider) to slow opponents while it races. The win condition is commander damage - 21 points to each opponent - delivered in successive turns via double-strike enablers and massive pump spells. There are no infinite combos; the deck relies entirely on combat inevitability.
