Azula 45

Format: Commander

Commander: Fire Lord Azula

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

The deck is a Grixis spellslinger built around Fire Lord Azula: it ramps to her, attacks, and then doubles every spell cast during combat. Copying draw spells such as Big Score, pump spells like Reckless Ransacking and Unleash Fury, and permanents such as Torrential Gearhulk turns one attack into a massive resource turn. Azula, Cunning Usurper in the 99 acts as a supportive second engine, while Cormela, Glamour Thief and recursion spells keep the graveyard feeding the plan. The cleanest finish is commander damage by pumping Azula past 21 power, but she can only kill one opponent per attack, so the deck usually closes by repeating the combo across consecutive combat turns. Secondary paths come from copied burn and a token swarm.
