Deck overview

Eluge, the Shoreless Sea is a mono-blue spell-slinger/combo deck that turns lands into Islands to discount its first instant or sorcery each turn. The primary plan is to control the table with counterspells and bounces, then chain draw spells and extra turns into one of two combo kills: the Archaeomancer/Ghostly Flicker/Mystic Sanctuary loop with High Tide and Snap, or Enter the Infinite plus Thassa's Oracle/Jace. Eluge acts as a mana engine and flood-counter generator, while Talrand and Murmuring Mystic supply incidental flying threats. No hidden commander exists; the deck is built around Eluge. The commander is important for speed but not mandatory, since the draw package, cost reducers, and combo lines function without her. Consistency is the weakest area: no premium tutors, and the main kill needs several specific pieces or a 12-mana sorcery.
