Deck overview

This deck is a classic Mono-Green Stompy strategy commanded by Ghalta, Primal Hunger. The game plan accelerates mana on early turns, deploys undercosted high-power creatures, and casts Ghalta for its minimum cost of two green mana as early as turn 4. Once Ghalta enters the battlefield, the deck leverages its massive 12/12 trample frame alongside overrun effects like Overwhelming Stampede, Unnatural Growth, and Triumph of the Hordes to eliminate opponents through overwhelming combat damage. Card draw engines keyed to high creature power, such as Garruk's Uprising and Rishkar's Expertise, ensure a continuous flow of threats and land drops. While the deck possesses explosive combat velocity and resilient standalone beaters, its reliance on creature combat and lack of stack interaction leave it exposed to fast combo decks and well-timed creature sweepers.
